Tiger and Flowers

I drew the illustration as a celebration of my mom's birthday. Tiger is my mom's Chinese zodiac sign. I think the strength and power this animal exudes correspond with her virtues of resilience and bravery she shows at her work, and as she undergoes thyroid cancer treatments. The flowers surrounding the tiger are jasmines, which are the emblems of my home province. They always give me a sense of belonging and solace which parallels my feelings for my mom.
